Throughout 2019, our seven mosaic portraits will be traveling the country. See below to learn where you can check them out in person.

  1. The Ensemble Theatre

    Visit the historical Ensemble Theatre and view Icetria's portrait. Icetria is a native Houstonian and a senior at Sterling Aviation High School. "The Mission of The Ensemble Theatre is to preserve African American artistic expression and enlighten, entertain and enrich a diverse community."


  2. Art Club of Washington

  3. SXSW Edu Conference & Festival

    The SXSW EDU Conference & Festival cultivates and empowers a community of engaged stakeholders to advance teaching and learning. Icetria's and Joseph's portraits will be on display at the South by Southwest Edu expo at booth #640.


  4. Choose Success Awards Ceremony

    Atlanta student My'Yelle's portrait will be shown at Communities In Schools of Atlanta's Choose Success Awards ceremony, an annual event honoring community members and students who show an outstanding commitment to education and who have made a difference in their community.

SGAG presents historically and culturally significant works as a means for championing the preservation of the African diasporic cultural legacy and narrative.


  6. Communities In Schools Los Angeles Annual Celebration

    LA student Anais' portrait will be shown at Communities In Schools of Los Angeles' Annual Celebration fundraiser.


  7. Milliken Dialogues and Policy Summit
